Castle in the Clouds added another member to their senior management team with the recent hire of Kate Armenio of Conway, NH, as Director of Business Operations. In the role of Director of Business Operations, Kate will provide strategic guidance and leadership to the Castle’s revenue generating lines of business.
Castle in the Clouds is hosting their annual fundraising Gala on September 4, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. This year’s theme is Gala en Blanc and the event is designed to create an unforgettable evening of fine food, cocktails, and dancing, all while supporting a strategic restoration project at the National Historic Landmark Lucknow Estate.
Castle in the Clouds is in full swing now that summer is officially here. This July there will be programs at the historic estate that range from guided hikes to yoga to a petting zoo! There are several recurring programs that guests can participate in at the Castle this month, starting with Music Nights, which occur every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
Castle in the Clouds will be partnering with Foxx Run Farm in Ossipee, NH, to host an exciting Petting Zoo Weekend. From 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on July 18 and 19, 2026, visitors of all ages will be able to meet, interact with, and learn about the variety of animals brought onsite by Foxx Run Farm.
June is the first full month of Castle in the Clouds’ 2026 season and there are plenty of programs for everyone. Continuing in June is the Look Around Lucknow: 20th Anniversary Search. This free, family-friendly, scavenger hunt runs from May 23 through June 6, culminating with an award ceremony on June 7 from 1-2pm.
For the 4th year running, Castle in the Clouds is pleased to welcome educators and their families for a special day just for them on Sunday, May 31. The day will start with a breakfast reception in the Carriage House’s Winnipesaukee Room.
Castle in the Clouds will open for its 2026 Season on Saturday, May 23. Visitors can look forward to spectacular views of Lake Winnipesaukee and daily tours of the restored Lucknow Mansion. This year, Castle in the Clouds will debut a new exhibition, From Private Estate to Public Treasure: Lucknow after Thomas and Olive Plant.
Castle in the Clouds may not open for tours until May 23, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty to do, even before Memorial Day Weekend.
Castle in the Clouds will be holding its Community Arts Festival on Saturday, June 27th from 10am to 4pm. The festival will feature dozens of crafters, artists, and community organizations in the field of this iconic destination.
