Historic Estate Welcomes New Leadership to the Facilities Maintenance Team
Moultonborough, NH – The popular local attraction, premier museum, and historic landmark Castle in the Clouds has a new caretaker. Ahead of the 2026 season, Castle in the Clouds is pleased to welcome Joseph Raboin as its Director of Buildings & Grounds. Mr. Raboin brings 25 years of experience working in facilities maintenance in Boston and the surrounding area, having been responsible for the care of luxury high rises, highend hotels, residential communities, and superstores. Now, he is eager to bring his expertise to Moultonborough and the preservation of this 115-year-old estate.
The Director of Buildings & Grounds is a key member of the Castle in the Clouds senior management team. In this position, Mr. Raboin will provide leadership and guidance while working alongside the Facilities team, who are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the buildings and grounds of Castle in the Clouds. While the maintenance needs of an estate built in 1913 differ from those of modern constructions, Mr. Raboin’s extensive experience from materials planning, construction, and ongoing maintenance has already proven invaluable, and the staff and leadership of Castle in the Clouds are thrilled to have the care of the estate in such capable hands. As a community asset that is part recreational park, part museum, and part event space, Castle in the Clouds demands more from its maintenance team than a typical facility. Led by Mr. Raboin, the facilities team will continue to preserve and restore this historic estate for the sake of local history and the visitors who flock to the New Hampshire Lakes Region each year.

Castle in the Clouds opens the 2026 season on May 23. This season also commemorates the 20th anniversary of Castle Preservation Society, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which operates the popular tourist destination and museum.
