Join us on a guided hike of some of our most popular trails!

Learn more about the land now known as Castle in the Clouds. These easier hikes focus on the nature, history, and geology that make this area so special. Each guided hike focuses on a different area. Hikes are led by experienced volunteer guides.

The Brook Walk features seven waterfalls and an exploration of Shannon Brook.

The Settlement Loop features cellar holes and a peek into the lives of the early homesteaders.

The Oak Ridge hike features an impressive viewpoint and a focus on the animals and humans that make this place home.

Please wear appropriate footwear, dress for the weather, and bring sunscreen and bug spray as desired. For the comfort of all attendees, dogs are not allowed at this program.

Please meet for this hike at the picnic pavilions by Shannon Pond. Hiker parking is available at the top of Ossipee Park Road just past Maple Lodge, and also in the unpaved areas across from the pond and Café in the Clouds.

This program is weather-dependent, and the Castle reserves the right to cancel if there are fewer than 4 total participants registered. If the Castle cancels the program, you will be notified via phone or email the day before the program, and a full refund will be available. In the rare circumstance that we are forced to cancel, we hope to welcome you on another hike in the future!
