Basement Tours
Join us as we discover the secrets of the Castle’s basement – the physical plant and work hub for domestic staff in this state-of-the-art mountaintop mansion built in 1914.
The 45-minute guided tour will cover the highlights of the Castle’s unique construction in 1914, the ultra-modern appliances and amenities enjoyed by owners Tom and Olive Plant, and a glimpse into the lives of the servants who helped run and manage the Lucknow Estate in the 1910s and 1920s.

Basement Tour tickets are limited; we recommend coming to the Castle early in the day to ensure you can purchase your tickets. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Tickets must be purchased on-site at the Ticket Office. Please allow for 1 hour between tours if bundling your basement tour with the mansion tour.

This tour requires the navigation of two flights of stairs and is not handicap accessible. Additionally, in the interest of their own safety and comfort, children under the age of 5 are not permitted on the basement tour.
