Join our head gardener, Gretchen Large, for a tour of Lucknow’s garden landscapes, and pick up some gardening tips and tricks for you to use at home! Gretchen is excited to share with you her passion for gardening, which is displayed in the beautiful and thoughtfully-designed outdoor spaces surrounding the Castle. In addition to making sure the Castle always looks its best, Gretchen owns and operates The Random Gardener, maintaining several other private local gardens.

Lucknow’s landscapes are constantly changing throughout the season, and no two tours are the same. We invite you to come back multiple times – there is always something new to see!

This tour includes walking through our gardens, as well as several stairs. Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear.

Please check in for your tour at 10:05am at the Carriage House. From there, you will be transported to Lucknow Mansion for the tour.

To access the Carriage House, please use our entrance (GPS compatible) located at:

586 Ossipee Park Rd.
Moultonborough, NH 03254

Take Ossipee Park Road and bear right through the open fields, past the Café to our main visitor parking lot on the left. You’ll walk from there to the Carriage House, located just beyond the parking lot. Accessible parking is available directly across from the Carriage House.

This program is weather-dependent, and the Castle reserves the right to cancel tours that have fewer than 2 total participants registered. If the Castle cancels a tour, you will be notified via phone or email the day prior to the tour and a refund for your ticket purchase will be made available. In the rare circumstance that we are forced to cancel, we hope to have you on another tour in the future!
