NEW! Winter Hours in the Restaurant!
Lunch: 11:00 – 3:00 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from December 29 – March 25
New this year we’re opening the doors (again, as some of you may remember!) for lunch in The Carriage House Restaurant through the winter. Join us Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday from December 29th through March 25th from 11:00am – 3:00pm for a bite to eat in our amazing restaurant. View our sample lunch menu for our winter hours in the restaurant.
For the first time in many years, snowmobiles will have access to the Carriage House on a limited basis this winter, too. The spur trail from Corridor 15 received irreparable damage during our latest winter storm. The access point for snowmobiles will be via our Front Gate on Route 171. This road is accessible to snowmobiles only; all other vehicles should use Ossipee Park Road.
Summer Dining & Menus
Join us in the spring and summer for lunch with a view! Guests are always awed by our panoramic vistas the first time they visit. In season, we’re open daily for lunch and have special dinner events, too. Stay tuned for our 2018 restaurant information.
In our summer season, our lunch menu offers options ranging from soups and salads to sandwiches and full entrees, with several vegetarian options as well as items that can be made gluten free. We’ve received rave reviews for everything from our grilled cheese to our lobster roll!
Outdoor seating on our terrace offers views of Lake Winnipesaukee and the surrounding mountains. There are few other restaurants in the Lakes Region that offer the views comparable to those you’ll find from our Terrace. And if the weather isn’t ideal for outdoor seating, rest assured – we have tables inside as well! The interior of the building has remained relatively untouched and guests can dine indoors, in what were once the original horse stalls. Click here for a virtual tour of our indoor and outdoor dining areas.
During our busy season (August & Fall Foliage) we can have a wait-list of up to an hour. We do not take reservations for lunch, so we highly suggest arriving early, especially if you have a large party.
Visitors Joining Us for Lunch Only
Looking for a nice place to enjoy lunch but don’t have time to tour the mansion? If you are coming for LUNCH ONLY and do not want to see the mansion, you can visit via Ossipee Park Road (the entrance to CG Roxane Bottling Plant) free of charge. All entry via the Main Gate will need to pay admission. Feel free to call our main offices at 603-476-5900 for directions or use 455 Ossipee Park Road for GPS.
One special perk for Friends of the Castle: you can visit with all your guests for lunch and access the Scenic Road via the Main Gate free of charge! As long as there is one Friend of the Castle in the car, admission to the Scenic Road is waived for each individual. Bring your guests to the Falls of Song for a scenic trip before you dine at our restaurant! This is a great option for locals who like to visit for lunch and enjoy the scenic trip.
