NEW! Winter Restaurant Hours
December 29th through March 25th
Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
11:00am through 3:00pm
New this year we will open the doors (again, as some may remember!) for lunch in The Carriage House Restaurant. Join us Fridays, Saturdays, and Sunday from December 29th through March 25th. Lunch will be served from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm so stop on by!
Join us by snowmobile!
For the first time in many years, snowmobiles will have access to the Carriage House on a limited basis this winter. The originally planned spur trail from Corridor 15 which runs from Manchester to Tamworth received irreparable damage in our latest winter storm. The Moultonborough Snowmobile Club and the Lakes Region Conservation Trust have been working together to provide snowmobiles access via our Front Gate on Route 171. Travel up the 2 mile scenic road after crossing over Route 171 at our Front Gate.
“Opening the snowmobile trail to the Carriage House from Corridor 15 in Moultonborough will allow riders from all over the state to enjoy a great lunch while surrounded by stunning views of Lake Winnipesaukee and the surrounding mountains,” said John Harrington, President of the Moultonborough Snowmobile Club.
If you don’t have a sled to enjoy the trip up here, you can always visit via Ossipee Park Road. Our main parking lot will be open through the winter so you won’t need to hike in from the back gate! Please remember that the main gate located at 455 Old Mountain Road will be closed to cars for the winter; it will only be accessible via snowmobile. All vehicles should use Ossipee Park Road.
Additional Winter Activities
The Lakes Region Conservation Trust is also working hard this year to help provide you with fun and active year-round opportunities to enjoy their property. This year they will be grooming cross-country ski trails for you to adventure out on! And don’t forget their amazing trails that you can hike and snow-shoe all year long, too!
Hiker parking is located at the top of Ossipee Park Road, across from the entrance to the bottling plant. If you’re planning on staying later in the afternoon, be sure to park outside the gate as we will close and lock that gate after restaurant hours.
We have a plethora of winter activities on the property as well. Visit our Program Calendar to learn if there’s something in the area during your visit!
Our hours are, of course, weather permitting. Please don’t hesitate to call our offices in the event of poor driving conditions. Your safety is our main priority and we will close the property if the roads are not safe. Any day we’re experiencing a closure or a delay we will post on our website, facebook and phone system at 603-476-5900.
