Dear Castle Supporters,
To call this Spring season unusual is a vast understatement. We at the Castle, along with the entire world continue to work to understand and mitigate the impact of the global pandemic on all of our lives. The health and safety of our staff, visitors, and wider community is exceptionally important to us, and we have taken many steps to do our part to slow the spread of the Coronavirus. It is our fervent hope that the steps everyone is taking now will mean that things will start to return to normal by the time our regular season begins at the end of May. If that timeline needs to change we will be sure to communicate it as soon as those decisions are made.
Work continues on our important restoration efforts – the experts we employ to complete that specialized work are small-businesses and generally only send one or two craftsmen to a job site. We are very glad that this work can continue and that we can support our friends and neighbors by continuing these projects this spring. Our staff is also busy preparing plans for a myriad of programs and activities at Lucknow this summer (perfect tasks to work on remotely!). We understand and expect that you have plenty to occupy your thoughts at this time, but hope you will be able to include some time at the Castle in your post-pandemic plans. We will be here to welcome you when you do!
