DESCRIPTION:Do you have a student in grades 6-8 who is super excited about the upcoming solar eclipse? Does your student love learning about space? Castle in the Clouds is teaming up with Moultonborough Public Library to present a free astronomy after-school program\, culminating in the solar eclipse on April 8! Each session will be packed with experiments\, crafts\, and other hands-on activities. \nSpace is limited so that we can maintain at minimum a 1:7 ratio\, and pre-registration is required. DESCRIPTION:Gather to watch the 98% solar eclipse at the Castle! Get a free pair of eclipse glasses (while supplies last)\, witness the eclipse through solar telescopes\, and talk with an astronomer from the New Hampshire Astronomical Society. \nWe ask that you not arrive for the event before 1:30 PM. Our volunteers and event staff will be ready to assist you starting at that time. \nRegistration is encouraged but not required. Knowing how many people will be attending allows us to better prepare for the program.

DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate Earth Day at the Castle! We invite you to come anytime between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm to pick up a fun family-friendly scavenger hunt that will have you explore our property and appreciate our planet. Turn in your completed scavenger hunt before 2 pm for an Earth Day-themed take-home craft activity (while supplies last)! \nThis program will also mark the launch of the Castle’s citizen science initiative! There will be a brief presentation at 10:00 am about how you can get involved in citizen science and how easy it is to get started. Castle team members will be available throughout the program to answer any questions. \nRegistration is encouraged but not required. Knowing how many people will be attending allows us to better prepare for the program.
