Castle in the Clouds has once again teamed up with the Moultonborough Recreation Department and the Lakes Region Conservation Trust for this beloved Halloween tradition. \nThe trails surrounding Shannon Pond will become Jack o’ Lantern Lane\, lined with glowing pumpkins. Costumes are encouraged. Be sure to wear weather-appropriate clothing underneath your Halloween costume and appropriate footwear for this fun adventure. We also recommend bringing a flashlight or headlamp\, as it will be getting dark toward the end of the event. \nPlease note: this is a family-friendly event. This is not a “haunted” walk\, and Halloween decorations and surprises will not be scary or gory. \nAfter your walk\, warm up by a fire pit and enjoy goodies compliments of Castle in the Clouds\, the Moultonborough Recreation Department\, and the Lakes Region Conservation Trust. \nRegistration is encouraged but not required. Knowing how many people will be attending allows us to better prepare for the evening.

SUMMARY:Waterfalls Photography Workshop
DESCRIPTION:In partnership with Castle In The Clouds\, come learn digital camera and smartphone techniques for waterfall photography with local nature and wildlife photographer Matt Cohen. Workshop includes settings for waterfalls\, motion blur for water effects\, lighting\, composition\, and the use of both standard and smartphone tripods. This workshop takes place at the beautiful Castle In The Clouds “Brook Walk”\, a 1-mile trail leading to viewpoints of 7 waterfalls and likely great foliage with this timing! The trail is “easy-to-medium” difficulty. Any digital camera or smartphone is welcome\, tripod recommended. Bring your school or union I.D. to the ticket booth anytime from 10-3pm to receive two free general admission passes for Castle in the Clouds as a thank you for all that you do. Education team members will be on hand inside the Carriage House to answer all your questions about school programs and teacher programming before or after your self-guided tour. \nThis is a self-directed day. While here you can also enjoy a hike and/or lunch at the Carriage House Restaurant or Cafe in the Clouds. The trolley leaves for Lucknow Mansion every 15 minutes from the Carriage House between 10:15am and 3:45. \n
