Following a script\, Head Housekeeper leads participants around the first floor of the mansion and engages them in activities under the guise of preparing the home for the owners’ return. Essentially\, this is a one-woman show that involves engaging directly with the audience. \nQualifications: \nExcellent people skills are required for this position\, along with strong acting and improvisational abilities. Actress must be able to work with guests of all ages and backgrounds. Must be able to provide own costume and have a valid driver’s license. Love of history and acting experience are also a plus. \nAudition Requirements \nPlease bring a headshot and resume and prepare a one-minute monologue. Part of the audition will be improv exercises with other auditioners.

DESCRIPTION:Disobey your mother and look at the sun…through a hydrogen-alpha telescope! Each Sunday\, members of the NH Astronomical Society set up their telescopes in the field by Shannon Pond. Drop by and speak with the astronomers\, learn about the sun\, and try out their telescopes anytime between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm. \nSolar Gazing requires clear skies. In the event that it is raining or overcast\, there will be an opportunity to chat with the astronomers in the Winnipesaukee Room on the second floor of the Carriage House instead. \nThis is a free program and registration is encouraged but not required.

DESCRIPTION:Experience Shakespeare like never before. \nJoin us for an abridged performance of Henry IV: Parts I & II\, presented by Advice to the Players. This production will take place on the outdoor terrace at the Carriage House Resturant. While enjoying the play\, indulge in traditional American fare and drinks. The restaurant will open for seating at 5:15 PM and the show starts at 5:30 PM. \nAbout the Performers: \nAdvice To The Players is a unique company of theater professionals\, enthusiastic community members and energetic teens that has been performing Shakespeare and offering workshops in New Hampshire’s Lakes Region and the White Mountains since 1999. Advice To The Players is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit committed to arts\, education and community engagement. \nImportant Information: \nSeating is limited\, so be sure to register in advance to secure your spot. Walk-ins will be accepted only if seats are available. \nThe $15 cover fee will be applied to your bill. Please note\, no refunds will be issued if the cover fee exceeds the total bill. \nAll ticket sales are final; no refunds\, transfers to other days\, or exchanges.
