DESCRIPTION:Description: \nWe are seeking an actress with improvisational skills to become Lucknow Mansion’s Head Housekeeper in 1922. Following a script\, Head Housekeeper leads participants around the first floor of the mansion and engages them in activities under the guise of preparing the home for the owners’ return. Essentially\, this is a one-woman show that involves engaging directly with the audience. \nQualifications: \nExcellent people skills are required for this position\, along with strong acting and improvisational abilities. Actress must be able to work with guests of all ages and backgrounds. Must be able to provide own costume and have a valid driver’s license. Love of history and acting experience are also a plus. \nAudition Requirements \nPlease bring a headshot and resume and prepare a one-minute monologue. Part of the audition will be improv exercises with other auditioners.

This is a great opportunity to get moving after the winter while making a difference at the same time! \nTools will be provided or bring your own favorite rake\, paint brushes\, etc. (for those who want to bring their own\, small power tools – like a leaf blower – you will be asked to sign a volunteer release form). Also\, please bring your own gloves and any snacks\, water\, insect repellent and sunscreen you may need while you work. \nArrive at 9:00am to enjoy complimentary pastries and coffee and be done by noon. \nIn appreciation for your time and energy\, you will each receive two complimentary tickets to come back to tour the Lucknow mansion during the 2025 season! \nQuestions? Full details and rules will be provided at the beginning of the scavenger hunt\, so please take a moment to read them carefully. No items are located within the Lucknow mansion. Admission to the mansion is not included in\, nor is it required for the scavenger hunt. \nSubmit your photos by midnight Thursday\, May 29. DESCRIPTION:Disobey your mother and look at the sun…through a hydrogen-alpha telescope! Each Sunday\, members of the NH Astronomical Society set up their telescopes in the field by Shannon Pond. Drop by and speak with the astronomers\, learn about the sun\, and try out their telescopes anytime between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm. \nSolar Gazing requires clear skies. In the event that it is raining or overcast\, there will be an opportunity to chat with the astronomers in the Winnipesaukee Room on the second floor of the Carriage House instead. \nThis is a free program and registration is encouraged but not required.
