DESCRIPTION:Join us on this winter hike of the Oak Ridge trail\, led by an experienced volunteer guide! This trail includes a lookout that provides a beautiful view of Lake Winnipesaukee and a rare look at Lucknow Mansion from above. This is a moderate hike of about 2 miles and has an elevation climb of approximately 300′. \nThis hike will occur with or without snow on the ground. Participants are asked to dress for the weather and bring their own snowshoes and poles if needed. Castle in the Clouds will be able to offer adult-sized snowshoes to borrow for this event courtesy of the Moultonborough Recreation Department. DESCRIPTION:UPDATE:  Thank you for your interest in Family Sledding Day at Castle in the Clouds. Unfortunately\, due to a lack of snow\, we will not be able to host Family Sledding Day this weekend\, and given the high temperatures in the forecast\, we have decided to cancel this event. If we get snow in the coming weeks\, we may be able to host a pop-up sledding event\, in which case\, we will be sure to update our website! \nCome sledding at Castle in the Clouds! We are inviting families to come to the Castle grounds to enjoy sledding on our property’s hills. Then visit the Winnipesaukee Room upstairs in the Carriage House\, where you will be able to enjoy some complimentary hot cocoa! \nPlease note that the date is tentative and dependent on snow conditions. By filling out the registration form\, you will receive email updates about the date. \nRegistration is encouraged but not required. Please bring your own sleds. Please note that you will be asked to sign a liability waiver upon arrival.
