The trees are beginning to
turn!
See the best Fall Foliage
at the Castle!
Bring the family up to
enjoy the breathtaking views
and spectacular fall foliage
from our historic mansion
and 5500-acre mountaintop
estate overlooking Lake
Winnipesaukee! Ellen
Albanese wrote in The Boston
Globe that Castle in the
Clouds was "a modern marvel
in the early 1900's" and
said "views from nearly
every room are stunning."
What's more, this
spectacular estate boasts
over 1000 feet of cascading
waterfalls engorged by
recent rains, sumptuous
gardens, winding paths, 45
miles of hiking trails and
an exceptional cafe and
patio. You can spend the
entire day exploring and
enjoying!
The Globe raved about the
Castle's Carriage House Cafe
and Patio "with its nearly
360-degree view of mountains
and lakes and a menu of
sandwiches, salads, soups,
and entrees such as steak
tips and fish (most under
$10), this eatery captures
the spirit of the attraction
itself. At an elevation of
1300 feet, diners feel
they're on top of the world,
exactly the feeling that
Thomas Plant wanted to
capture when he built this
16 room Craftsman-style
house in 1914 as a wedding
present for his second wife,
Olive." And don't miss a
visit to our New
Hampshire-themed gift shop
or a visit to Shannon Pond
to feed the giant trout!
Why waste gas and fight the
traffic to see fall foliage?
Bring your family and
friends up to the Castle to
see the most spectacular
fall colors from the best
vantage point in New
Hampshire!
