Outdoor Exploration Series: Wild Flower Walk
Saturday May 27th at 10:00am
Members: $5 per adult, free for children under age 17
Non- Members: $10 per adult, $5 for children age 5-17
Spring is the time for the woods and paths at the Castle to come alive with delicate wild flowers. Ever wonder what that flower is in your own back yard? Join us and earn to recognize some of the most common flowering plants. You will also learn how to use a field guide to identify specific flowers, and hear more about their habitats and what medicinal or culinary uses they might have.
Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes; we will be walking about the grounds, which may include some wooded paths. If you have one, bring a copy of Newcomb’s Field Guide to Wildflowers, and a notebook to keep track of your finds!
This program is limited to 25 participants, so call ahead to reserve your spot. You can register in advance by calling Stephanie at 603-476-5410.
